This collection is a whimsical quilt composed of sixteen blocks, each featuring its own fanciful flower surrounded by twirling, curling vines. It has simple pieced backgrounds and large appliqué pieces making it maker friendly.

This month we are stitching blocks 9 & 10. Let's take a look....

Stitching Tips
- Block 9 is made using reverse appliqué. The flower in this block is made up of just 3 patches. The first is the main flower body. The top is two patches, but you only stitch down the top rim. The oval patch is slipped under the oval opening in the flower rim. You will stitch both the outside as well as the inside. Make sure to make small clips all the way around the inner oval opening before you turn under the allowance. If you need more information or visual images, I suggest you google "reverse appliqué". There is lots of help available.
- In block 10, you will be slipping a patch under the center of the flower. The petals and center circle will then be stitched on top on the patch. It gives really good dimension if using a dark or contrasting fabric.
