Let It Snow - Block 7

Block 7 is made up of the appliqué portion and one embroidery panel. Complete instructions for making Block 7 are found in the pattern. In this month's blog I'll share a few extra tips for making the block as well as a few close-up images.

• Make circles for both the tires and the wheels. (For more on circles see Let It Snow Block 1 Blog - ➡️Read Here.)

• For the window background behind bear, I chose to do reverse appliqué. Rather than stitch the (grey) window background patch on top of the truck window opening, I placed the window background patch behind the opening. The edges of this patch are left flat, no seam allowance turned under. The edges of the truck window opening are turned under. This makes a "window" allowing the grey patch to be in the background. 
• Pay special attention to the order of the patches in this section: window background, truck with window opening, door, bear body slipped under top door edge before stitching, bear arm, lastly bear head with ears, nose etc. 

• More of the same critters. You've got this!
