Block 4 - Buy➡️HERE

Block 4 is an appliqué block only. Complete instructions for making Block 4 are found in the pattern. In this month's blog I'll share a few extra tips for making the block as well as a few close-up images.

  • With motifs that have many parts/patches like this fox, I find it much easier to assemble and glue the patches together so that the full motif (fox) can then be placed onto the background. Visit my blog ➡️"Appliqué With Me", for more details on my process.
  • Consider adding fringe to the scarf.

  • These bunny ears are small and can be a challenging. I appliquéd the pink inside the ears but you may choose to embroidery with a satin stitch.

  • More of the same. You should be getting good at making ornaments, birds and trees.

Have fun! Be creative! The details are what makes the quilt interesting and unique. Make the blocks your own way! If you have any questions or comments, please be sure to message me ➡️HERE.

We're half way there! Four blocks down, four to go.

Thank you Joan H.! When I’m working on a project like this, I pull a bunch of fabrics in the colors I think I might use and put them in a bin. Then as I work on the blocks, I pull from here. Mostly anyway, there’s always times when I have to go back to my stash to find the perfect piece.

Another precious block! One of the hardest and most fun parts for me, all at the same time, is choosing the fabrics! Anyone else end up with such a big mess in the process and usually extra pieces which didn’t quite look right? Thanks again for the fun pattern!
