Little Bear is doing a bit of exploring with this month's QBM theme.
Each month the Quilt Block Mania participating designers share a block pattern inspired by the month's theme. The pattern is free for the month. I'll be designing and giving away a block each month reflecting the Quilt Block Mania monthly theme, however, my block designs will also follow my Year of Bears theme. The QBM theme for May is "Desert".
No, we're not talking the sweet "dessert" you get at the end of a meal. Nope, we're talking the dry, baren land where it's often very hot and cactus thrive. But the desert can be quite interesting and Little Bear is off to explore. He's got a nice wide brimmed hat to protect him from the sun and water bottle to keep him hydrated.
Desert Bear is the free 12" block pattern I'm giving this month. This block pattern will only be free to download for the month of May.

Bonus Block
The weather is so fickle in Spring. One day it's sunny, the next it's rainy. What do you do when it's raining? If you're little bear, you grab your umbrella, take a walk and whistle or sing out loud. Rainy Day Bear is the bonus block this month!
